IIDA (Int'l Interior Design Assoc.)/HD Product Design Competition
IIDA with partner Hospitality Design hosted the IIDA/HD Product Design Competition to honor innovation, function and aesthetic advancements in the hospitality industry. Winners were announced at the Platinum Circle Gala during the HD Expo in Las Vegas. Winners included the following companies in each category: Applied Finishes and Materials: 3form and Designtex; Textiles: Brentano and Evans and Brown for Hunter Douglas Hospitality; Flooring: Durkan and Centiva by International Floors of America, Inc.; Seating Individual: JANUS et Cie and Neoteric Luxury; Seating Group or Series: Loewenstein and Barlow Tyrie Ltd.; Category Case Goods and Freestanding Furniture: Sterling Sleep Systems and Samuel Lawrence Hospitality; Lighting: Vibia; Accessories or Specialties: Architectural Systems, Inc. and Quick Drain USA; and Best of Competition:
ASID (American Society of Interior Designers)
ASID presents HD Student Day for design students who want one-on-one guidance regarding their futures within our industry. The Career Exchange features nearly two dozen design professionals offering free advice on topics including portfolio review, resume assessment and career direction. The Student Forum allows for open discussion and is an accredited educational series that answers the practical questions relating to professional design.

This new Pavilion, sponsored by The Nevada Hotel & Lodging Association (NHLA), will feature exciting new amenity products including items such as towels, cosmetics, soaps, aromatherapy and green products.
