Sue-Anne Vanity Light with mirror in the Alameda Powder Room by Design With Refinement

Designer Feature

Sue-Anne, Seen in Place

This week’s Details in Design showcases Sue-Anne through Refinement Wagner’s perspective.

Featured in the Alameda Powder Room by Design With Refinement, Sue-Anne brings its grand detailing, warm finish, and naturally tinted glass into a finished designer setting.

Seen in place, the vanity light becomes part of the room’s atmosphere, adding texture, glow, and decorative presence without overwhelming the space.

Design Focus

The Vanity Moment

Sue-Anne is designed as a full lighting family, extending across chandeliers and vanity lights.

For this feature, the focus turns to the vanity. The fixture brings the collection’s signature Matte Gold finish and Clear-Amber Glass to a more intimate scale, framing the mirror area with warmth and character.

It is decorative, but considered. Expressive, but balanced.

Silhouette

Grand Detailing

Sue-Anne carries a sense of presence through robust detailing and expressive glasswork.

In the vanity application, that character is brought closer to eye level. The fixture adds a sculptural note above the mirror, allowing the detail of the frame and glass to become part of the room’s visual rhythm.

Its scale gives the wall a finished quality without taking control of the design.

Materiality

Ribbed Glass

Sue-Anne is defined by its glasswork.

Each piece of pressed ribbed glass is handmade, giving the collection a naturally unique quality. The Clear-Amber tint adds warmth and depth, while the ribbed surface catches the light with subtle movement.

The result is glass that feels dimensional, refined, and full of character.

Application

Placed with Intention

A vanity light has to work closely with the room around it.

Sue-Anne supports the mirror, adds warmth to the wall, and brings a decorative detail to a smaller footprint. Its handmade glass and Matte Gold finish allow it to contribute to the room without competing for attention.

That balance is what makes the vanity application especially compelling.
